A plant-based restaurant that incorporates Buddhist principals and inherently embraces the dichotomous order and chaos of nature’s growth process.
Pillars
Sulli Daero, catered towards 5 star dining, is located in Arthur Erikson’s iconic Waterfall Building, and there was a focus on Retained Resources, such as the concrete shell. The restaurant is divided into two key areas: on the right, the plan represents order, symmetry, and harmony. On the left, it speaks to the unruly, unique beauty of nature itself, as Natural Integration is key to any space. The restaurant flows harmoniously between strategic rhythm and unpredictability, keeping the consumer and staff top of mind. A great deal of Deep Research went into the restaurant’s functionality, acoustics, and visual stimulation points; all thoughtfully considered in this space which welcomes over 300 patrons every night.
